Characters Appearing: May Parker Location (s): Forest Hills Previous Thread Name: TBA Plot Summary: Peter returns home for the night, only to learn that his aunt, May Parker...doesn't exist in this world. But he will run into a May Parker.
Well that was a thing-in-a-half. Meeting his clone from a alternate reality. He's kinda a jerk. Fighting an alternate Doctor Octavius. He's a mega jerk, as expected. And then there's that thing with the Daily Bugle...and these shards or something...? That's a thing to add to his headache stack, alongside finding the Chameleon, Mysterio...and then there's his whole issue in his personal life with Gwen and Harry, the school hating him more than usual after that bad breakup with Liz...
...he's just so glad it's summer, for his school life is something he does not want to deal right now.
But now he can finally go home...even though he's past curfew. But strange enough, he can't even reach his home on his phone. He wondered if the phone company cut off their line, for they're having trouble paying some of their bills. Well he has some cash from those pictures he took, and he can sell the ones of his fight against Ock, so that should cover some of the bills. Maybe that should cushion some of his aunt's anger towards him.
Walking down the familiar road of suburban houses...home sweet home....except that there's a fence. There...was never a fence. Did...Aunt May set up this...? Just when he was about to open it...
...a mid-aged chubby man stepped out the house to smoke a cigarette until he noticed the boy. "Hey, who are you?"
Peter gaped at him in confusion. "Uh...who are you?"
"I asked you first, kid!"
"What are you talking about? I live here!"
"You must've got the wrong house, kid!"
"I got the wrong house?! This is 337 Elm Street East, right?"
"Yeah, but this isn't your house!"
This made no sense, unless this jerk did something to his... "This house belongs to an elderly woman named May Parker! What happened to her?"
"What are you talking about? I lived here all my life! Get out of here before I call the cops!" And the man went inside, slamming the door shut and locked it.
This...this wasn't happening, right? He did not hear that his aunt never lived here...in the house paid by his uncle for many years...and that jerk says no one lived here for so long?! Then...this...this doesn't make sense! Where...

May felt drawn to this area, and she had no idea why or what had caused it. She had just finished her classes at college and already had a huge overwhelming amount of homework. The summer weather upon them. May was wearing shorts and a summer-looking t-shirt with flowers on it. May had managed to gather up enough work fighting crime, and bad guys to get enough money for her apartment. It had been rather unusual for her trying to fit in with the dimensional jumping that had happened here. She had no idea if she was going to be allowed back. She was out of her classroom and heading home… Except she took a super long way through the streets. It was starting to get darker out as the evening drew to an open. May felt rather tired as she sat all day in classes. However, her day was far from over in this case, and she was about to have another adventure.
May had not realized it, but she had been walking on familiar grounds. She knew this area well. In her dimension, and she was about a street or two away from where Aunt May lived. She had memorized it after Peter, her father, had told her that. Her father had been so busy raising a family, and making sure everyone had food on the table, for being a policeman. It had been hard work. However, it was rewarding in the end. He was still loved and adored for being Spider-Man, but even he had to retire to let other superheroes take the reins.
She quickly walked forward, overhearing some voices nearby as she wanted to see what was going on. There was a brown-haired kid who was being yelled at by some other kid. It was something a bit of a shock. At first, she wanted to leap into action and help as all instincts go. But instead, she saw that it was quickly over as the rather unwelcomed talk was over in a matter of minutes.
She had missed the argument by about two seconds. Surely she could've stepped in and helped. She was mentally kicking herself for it.
“Hey, wait up!” May said as she began to make a run towards the kid trying to find out who he was. The address seemed like a blast in the face towards May too. As this was all familiar. She had heard about how Peter had lived on this street. May was well aware of how sacred these grounds were to her family. She knew she was going to have to find out and get to the bottom of this. "Are you alright? I heard all the yelling earlier..." She said. "I know this area too oddly enough..." May said.
Once she was there and caught up to him, she came over to try and speak to the kid. “Do you by chance, have a last name of Parker? I am asking because my name is Mayday Parker. I am from a different dimension…” She said as she got a better look at him and realized something was very wrong here. This guy looked like a much younger version of her Peter, and it scared her half to death. She already met a younger version of Kaine in her time the guy had mellowed a bit. There was also an Uncle Ben Riley who was Peter’s first clone. So she had two uncles, which was enough to make her happy. “Wait this might help us out.” She said as she took her phone out. An older man was wearing a police uniform and holding onto a young boy named Benji Parker. The redheaded woman named Mary Jane and a black-haired girl named Mayday Parker, standing in the front. She was about 14 in the photo when this had been taken. “This is going to be a big shock to you, but I think we might be alternate dimension related…” She said, rubbing the back of her head with her messy hair. It was probably too late to freak out, as she already had.
May already had a feeling this wasn't what the boy had hoped for. And she couldn't make up for it either. Her Aunt May had been gone for a long time by now.
This...this can't be happening! His Aunt May...can't be....gone! How did this happened, he desperately wondered. It...it could be possible that dimensional rift not only just sent people from other realities into his world, but pulled people from his world to other realities, and switched places with a counterpart. He knows his luck...just plains sucks, but of all the people, why did it have to be his aunt?! Just where is she? Hopefully not in some post apocalyptic world, because that would explain that wife beater's 'wonderful' personality. It---
Finding himself at the end of the road, he heard some girl call him...who looks around Betty Brant's age. "Uh I-" When she easily spilled that she's from an alternate reality, Peter flinched...before he comprehended. At least that, he understood, for if not for Kaine and the other Doc Ock, he probably set her in the coo-coo category. But...Mayday Parker? "Seriously? What, are you me from a genderbent universe?" Ugh, and now he pictured a female Flash Thompson. That would probably be one butch girl, or-
And finally, she dropped a bigger bomb when she showed him the photo. It looked like...an older version of himself...as a cop? Funny, he hoped to be a scientist. Or maybe at least a college teacher. And him seeing an older Mary Jane by his side?! Okay, THAT he can't believe. As much as liked to be, the girl is too much of a free-spirit; she's not interested in a relationship, for she just wants to have fun. Adding to a girl who's this woman, and...
...and Peter already put two n two together, gaping in shock at the woman. "Um uh wha uh...wha?!"

“Hard to believe? I know…” May said with a sigh as these whole dimensional opening rifts and closing them, had been very confusing. The shards were one thing, and they were just getting more and more confusing by the moment. May sighed. She felt like she needed to explain parts of it here. It all made no sense yet at the same time it did. It was completely bizarre once the dimensional rifts opened. It was like the world was becoming swiss cheese eating upon itself. “It started with you retiring from being Spider-Man I do not think you took it well, but my mom Mary Jane supported you all the time,” May admitted.
“What genderbend? No, I am more of your daughter from a different dimension." May said with a frown. That had been one of the biggest blows that May had ever felt before when she lost her friend Normie Osborn who had been Harry Osborn's son. She could perhaps relate to Peter in mulitple ways for trying to survive school and have a normal life. Then trying to become Spider-Woman and saving the city all in one. If anyone else tried to do it, it was near impossible. “If you want to vent out your frustrations, you certainly can towards me… You look just as troubled or worse…” May offered. “I know the world sounds pretty crummy now, but at least put together and use what you do have." May said trying to offer some advice. She had no idea if it would work.
“I know that is what a lot of us did. Even Uncle Kaine, the Kaine here seems really grumpy, and Uncle Ben Riley for that matter…" May said. She was wondering if she was rambling and rattling on for no reason. So far, she had not found any of her family members here. It had been a shock to the system, and now she got another one from another Peter Parker. She had rattled on just as her father did, never stopped talking. This Peter seemed down like he needed some support. She had a feeling that he would be a very good Spider-Man just as she was Spider-Woman.
“I know I’m not the best at when it comes to giving advice, but I can’t let you live on the streets like this. Why don’t you come to my apartment? I will let you stay the night and get you some dinner? You still like wheatcakes?” May asked as she looked over to Peter, and she was wondering if she’d take the offer. It felt odd but yet at the same time, and she wondered if this was going to help Peter at all. She was just surprised and taking this all in herself. "Then again I understand why you don't want to take it from a stranger." She said with a soft nod.
...excuse him while he's still trying to process all this. His daughter from another reality is strange enough...but to know a reality that Ms. 'Solo' Watson is married to him? He still can't believe that. She made it clear to him that she's not looking for a significant partner. Just to have fun...although it seems there was something going on between her and Mark Allen before he turned into Molten Man. She and Liz were depressed for half a week from that.
"N-No, I'm not uh..." Yelling at your daughter is just all kinds of wrong...and is a level where Norman Osborn is at. He also heard that Mary Jane has some parent-trouble, but he's not sure if that's true. If it is, then she probably use her 'free-spirited' charm just to hide from that. "I'm just...my aunt has just...literally dropped out of the face of the earth, so now..." Maybe he can stay in that pit near Harlem where all the homeless people live in. Although, he heard that there was this place called FEAST that---
"Wait what?!" Staying with his...dimensional daughter is just...all kinds of awkward. "I uh I...I dunno if dimensional offspring counts as a stranger? I'll probably feel like one of those dads who has to stay at their kid's place after their home got...I dunno, evicted, or smashed by the Rhino or something."

“We can find your aunt, and I am sure there are many Aunt May's, as there are Spider-Man's out there,” May said as she nodded back towards Peter. He looked like he was still taking it in. May did not blame him, and this had been a huge shock to just about anyone in the system. She knew that it would take a while to recover from the shock. Not only did he not have a home, May felt very sorry for it and felt like she had to do something. Her father probably would not let another Spider-Man live off the street, and then she would not be any different. “Do not worry either, I do not expect anything in return,” May assured him for staying over at her apartment. “Do not worry, you have not been evicted, your house is still there probably in your dimension… Just got uh dimension evicted, for that matter?” May asked. She knew this all sounded very confusing, and hard to take in. “When I came, I did not have anyone, just myself. I learned my college was still here but not my parents. I had to find an apartment to live in, and continue my studies as being a scientist. So, I certainly know how you feel,” May said. She knew it was not the same, for that matter. She still missed her mother and father. And her annoying brother Benjamin. “We are going to head to my apartment and can not say no for an answer now.”
They began to walk down several blocks. As May was navigating using her memory, and also her phone. So far, they had not backtracked yet or got lost, as she wanted to make sure that Peter was still following. As she on occasions, glanced behind her, still making sure he was there. "I am very sorry this happened Peter. It happened to all of us." May said. "If I had a way for us to dimension jump, I'd send us all back, without question. It just seemed very wrong." May admitted. But that was out of her league on when it came to dimension hopping.
Maybe A Aunt May is somewhere out there, but it's probably not HIS Aunt May, and he's not sure how he'll feel about that. The same woman, yet she'll feel like a stranger. Okay, maybe that's how he'll feel. But anything better than staying with his daughter from a parallel world. It just feels...awkward. But he can't just reject her hospitality, even though the Parker Pride doesn't allow hand-outs. He just---
"Wait, my house is still in MY dimension?!" he gawked. He thought he was still in his world. So that wave didn't drop dimensional counterparts to his world, it pulled him away from his world. No NO!! Aunt May!! She's gotta be so worried about his whereabouts that she might get another stroke because of him. But that wave. It...
"Wait, it PULLED me from my world?! That...rift? That rift was huge! I-I might not be the only one from my world here!!" And given his usual luck, the majority pulled could be his enemies. Why couldn't it been his friends?! It...no...no, best not have them suffer like he is, especially Gwen. And Harry been through enough. The last thing he needs is to be dragged into this parallel world. Still, his enemies might be here. He has to find out!

May sighed, she just realized that this had been made a lot worse. She knew that Kaine and the others had adjusted well from the shock that had happened here. “Peter! Dadd-I I mean Peter, oh, just calm down!" May already did it as she accidentally called him dad. It sounded weird as she said it. "Panicking is not going to get you anywhere with this. You need to calm down. When I fell through that portal, I had a huge shock on this too. We all learned to adjust to it. It will take time…” May said, still getting used to the idea of calling him Peter now as she realized she had probably made it a lot worse for him. She felt a bit guilty for that. The good news was at least they were at her apartment, which had been a decent walk from it, or she could have taken a bus to get there.
“If you got sucked here and your house is not… I am afraid that is the case, it is stuck back in your dimension.” May said as she had no idea how these portals had worked or not. They seemed to have a mind of their own and even been on different dimensions sucking people into this dimension. Why just her? Why just Peter? She had no idea the answer to any of these questions, for that matter. It baffled her. But the shards seemed to be popping up all over the place at the same time. Maybe there was some connection. He was having some kind of mental panic or worry in his mind. May had no idea how to help or even if she was helping. "I hope I am at least trying to help even a little bit." She admitted with a frown. She had to be doing some good here, right? She could not let him wander around the streets at night or sleep in the park.
“We are at my apartment. You can come in and get a drink or food, do whatever you need to do before you readjust here, and my doors are open for you.” She said. May took a key out of her wallet as she went and opened up the door for them as it unhooked and opened. There was a bit of a decent and living room with a tv on it and a kitchen, and there were two bedrooms on it as she was able to buy a semi better-looking house with the money that she had been able to get. May had been working at an antique shop the last few months to get money and keep a roof over her head. There were several papers and stuff on the dining room table as it was clear she had been busy being Spider-Woman and trying to do her homework, at the same time. Some of the newspapers had recent things on villains that had to appear all over the place. Including unknown portals opening up over New York City. At least she was not being yelled at by Jonah Jameson. Who had quieted down ever since Spider-Man retired, in her dimension.
“I can cook dinner for us soon, is there anything you would like? There is also a guest bedroom on the left. The right side of my room. You can use the guest bed for a while.” She offered she was doubtful he was interested in dinner at this point. She then put her backpack on a nearby chair as she would have to do homework at some point once her dimensional father got situated in. "I think I might know someone who knows about portals he is kind of hard to get into contact with," May said, having encountered Doctor Strange in her dimension. If they found the one here, maybe he had some clue as to what was going on. But she was not going to chase him halfway around the city.
"...but I...!" Just the thought of his Aunt May collapsing from another heart failure...because of him, again, and he's not there this time...he can't let it...
But he has no clue on how to get back, so panicking isn't going to help. He needs to calm down so he can figure out how to get back home, or at least plan on searching for anyone from his world who may had been pulled here as well. "Yeah....uh...yeah, you're right..."
Arriving at some antique store, he couldn't help but be reminded of a certain movie with humanoid turtles he watched with Harry. Those were good times...before Spider-Man, villains, Goblin, and secrets split their friendship apart. He'd give anything to have things back to where they were before Spider-Man...if it weren't for his damned mistake that led his uncle to his death. "Well uh, nothing much but..."
Trying to think positive, remembering what Mayday suggested, "Did I...erm, your dad, erm me...uh...y-you know...kept Aunt May's wheatcake recipes?" Because no soul on Earth...nay...the universe can top his Aunt May's delicious wheatcake recipes. If you don't have a taste, then how do you know what living is?

May knew panicking wasn’t the way to go. She had learned that from listening to her spidey sense. If you panicked when that went off, you were going to mess up and get punched in the face… Or worse. She had always tried to stay calm and positive in awfully bad situations. Perhaps Ben Riley’s persona had rubbed off on her, or it was a cheerful attitude that she had from her parents. She would help Peter or be supportive when he needed it.
“Yes, he did, and my father inherited a lot of things from Aunt May… I never got to meet her.” May said with a soft sigh, and she sounded like a great person. “I also have a brother named Benjamin… My version of uh Spider-Man cared about him so much he named his son after him. I wouldn’t be surprised if Benji has powers. Right now, he’s about… 15.” May said knowing there was a big gap in between herself and her younger brother. “I have two uncles too, there’s Ben Riley and Kaine Parker. He also seems there’s one in this dimension too who’s just as lost… And maybe a bit grumpy.” May said with a sigh. She knew that feeling of how it was to be lost. She had slept the first night on the street before the woman who owned the shop had discovered her the next morning. She had no idea where she was or was disorientated, even putting a roof over her head. The woman might’ve been old grey hair, but she was kind and took her in.
May began to fiddle around the kitchen as her apartment was above the antique shop. It was rather convenient to go to work that way as the woman who ran the shop downstairs. She found a frying pan as she began to heat. Though it appeared she had a few recipes on her phone if she was ever away from her home as she could start mixing the batter. It was also there in case she ever missed her mother’s cooking which made sense. “The woman downstairs took me in after the portal thing happened… Spent the first night on the street.” She spoke. “She didn’t have to do that, but I felt like I couldn’t leave you behind either. There are some creepy antiques down there like the old lamp and chair that are about 200 years old.” May said though it was mostly a joke. She meant it at the same time. May fired up the stovetop as she began to make the wheat cakes. May had learned how to cook from Mary Jane as the woman had been rather independent on the first day that she had asked.
“So, do you have any plans now, Peter? I suppose you are going to look for shards or stop the bad guys like always? It is not a clear-cut plan, but you have got some help.” May said as she poured the batter onto the frying pan as it began to sizzle. Soon the smell of wheat cakes would fill the apartment. She knew they probably were not near as good as Aunt May’s. May had a desire to go home just like her younger version of her father did. They all did. She put the next two on for firing as she made Peter about five of them before putting them on a plate and some syrup. “If you want more, I can make more, and there is enough batter for it.” She added. Though May was not particularly hungry, she figured she might as well eat while she was cooking.
Yup...just like how Aunt May makes them. Sounds like his aunt passed away in her world, which is to be expected, for there's no way she can live that long. "Does the lady know about me. I mean, you are going to tell her, right?" Can't be doing things behind the back that showed you such hospitality, after all. Anyways, so that Kaine exists in her world, but who is Ben Riley? Obviously his name is from Uncle Ben's, and Aunt May's maiden name, but...he wondered if he's another clone, someone Peter is going to have to investigate his Miles Warren, should he get back home.
Sighing, biting another piece, "I guess about the shards, yeah..." Though he really don't wanna ask Kaine, if he's allied with Ock. But he's got no one else to turn to who knows about the shards. "Also, to see if anyone from my world is here, too. That rift that took me...was pretty big. Big enough to take maybe a few city blocks." And again, that also includes his enemies, like Chameleon, Mysterio, and the Vulture, who are still on the loose. Jeez, he keeps falling for Mysterio's robot clones.

“Yes, I will tell the landlord lady about you being here. She said she was fine with any guests.” May said. She nodded back to Peter, knowing this was all hard to take in. It was indeed a bit of a shock to the system too. Once she was done, she had turned off the fryer. She had cooked up a few more wheat cakes, and May turned the burners off after using all of the batter. “I think I’m going to have to do a bit of a curve and lie here, at least tell her you’re uh my brother. I doubt she’ll believe we’re related you are too young to be my father to make sense.” May said as that part was true. But the part of having someone related in a different dimension was going to be even harder than she thought. “I think between the dimension, and the young part has shocked me the most,” May admitted.
She took the wheat cakes over putting the free ones on the table in case Peter wanted any more of them as she began to eat them. “I can help you look for shards too, Peter. We can call it an uh father-daughter team up,” May said. She knew that he seemed to have a lot on his mind and seemed a little bit reluctant about things here. May had been there when the Brooklyn Bridge had been opened up by the Portals, as she had believed that to be a shard going haywire. There was something unusual about that event. "I cooked the rest of the batter, and you can take the other ones if you want.” She said, otherwise she was going to put them in the refrigerator.
“That does sound like a good idea. As far as I can tell, I’m the only one who came from my dimension. It’s a little sad.” May said figuring that she was doing things on her own here. “Some of the shards I looked at I had posted on one of the whiteboards with a map over it they are all over New York City appearing to be random, but I don’t think that’s entirely the case,” May said but she had no theories on it just yet. There was something big going on here. “I don't think you were the only one who got sent to this dimension.” May admitted agreeing with him on that one as she continued to work on her wheat cakes.
Yeeeeeeah...not like people would believe her that her father us younger than her. And he really hope she's not going to bring up this...father-daughter thing. He still has trouble with Gwen and Harry to even think about being a dad. That's the very VERY last thing on his mind.
"Uh, yeah, I'll take some more," he shrugged, taking another cake. Again, nothing beats Aunt May's wheatcakes. He knows eventually, Aunt May will pass from this world, but hopefully not too soon. Bad enough a lot of crazies, especially Venom, threatens her life...and that she had a heartattack.
"Uh, yeah, I....uh, met a few, but none of them are from my world." The last thing he needs is his Doc Ock joining forces with the one he just dealt with not too long ago...and learning of his secret identity. He already has Venom having the dangerous advantage there...but hopefully that gene cleanser should keep the symbiote far from Eddie for now on. Great, that's another thing he has to worry about, but he hasn't heard of anyone with the symbiote. Perhaps that cleanser poisoned it so much, it died.

May nodded, glad to see that Peter was doing better and had started to recover from the shock of coming to this world. May never understood why or what her purpose was on this part of the planet. However, she knew that she couldn’t leave a younger version of her father on the street. It appeared to be rather selfish and unfair when had a second room there. Though she did agree, the father part sounded a little weird, as you’d picture someone much older. “Yes, it does sound odd. But I think she’ll be just fine if she thinks it’s my brother.” May added trying to assure him. He looked better after eating something familiar.
Once May was done, she finished her wheat cakes as put the dish in the dishwasher, which had her bowl from the breakfast in the morning. “I haven’t shown you your room yet. It’s a bit plain, but if you find some items to put in it, feel free too.” May said as she went over to where the door was opened, showing a plain white painted room, as the bed was made.
A nightstand, a couple of windows, and a tv, with an alarm clock, on the stand. It had remained empty for as long as May could remember, and but she knew her room was on the other side of the kitchen and main lobby room. “Mine’s just on the other corner of the kitchen, and there’s a bathroom and a shower.” She added. .May was letting Peter take all the time he needed to get acquainted with it. The main lobby also had a tv and a fish tank where May had gotten from one of the local pet stores, and they had a couple of neons and guppies in it as they swam about in the decorative rocks, flora, and items put in it.
“I was going to order some pizza for tonight, and you can pick your favorite toppings on it too.” She offered. “I will have to leave you to fend for yourself. I have college courses booked all morning. I should be back in the afternoon.” May confessed, not wanting to surprise him while she was gone or thought she might’ve left him.
