Rachel had closed up for the night as she locked the door to the witch shop. She knew that their shop had been doing pretty well lately with the items all stacked up neatly. There were odd ones like frog warts, the essence of baby’s breath, and even the essence of narwhal horn. The store had an odd arrangement of items, and ingredients to help brew potions. They had other rare items, such as herbs and roots. People had insisted were good for their health. Herbs like ginkgo and ginger.
Rachel was relieved, and she was done for the day. It was around 11 pm. The sun was starting to set making a magnificent set of colors on the horizon. So she figured she might get something to eat on the way home. Raven walked down some of the streets with her cape in hand. She then put it on as she saw a good-looking coffee shop and slipped in. While Raven was focusing on her job, and Kaine also had another one. She is working with Dr. Strange as the man was helping her learn more about magic and helping her learn about it. The man had been kind to her too.
Raven pushed the door open. A soft chime came to the bell as she heard it ring above her. The bar had a nice homey feel to it. It made her miss the time she spent while she was in Azareth just for a little bit.
She sat down at one of the empty tables in the back. Rachel that she wasn’t interested in drinking alcohol. Raven took a seat as a waitress came over, “What can I get for you, Ma’am?” She asked.
“I’ll have some chamomile tea and will take a look at what you have for food tonight.” She said. She took off her cloak. Raven had fair skin and dark black hair as she resembled a goth. Rachel had one of her magical books in her backpack. She then hung her cloak around her chair as the woman nodded and put a menu on her spot and would get the tea as soon as the water heated up. Soon Rachel came back with her tea as Rachel was delighted and took a few sips. She decided to have something different as she had pasta primavera as it had tasty cheese and shrimp in it and cut up bell peppers to give it a little bit of a tangy taste.
If Raven's power of empathy was potent enough, she would feel one heavy and moody emotion come stepping in the shop.
Rogue felt like life was just screwing with her again, but this time in a rather cruel way. Usually, she's tortured by watching people do what she could never do...interact physically, wither is hugging, and especially kissing. Rogue has to be careful when she wants to hug someone, like making her her bare skin doesn't hit the other's. And as for kissing...yeah, not a chance. All she can do is imagine herself kissing Scott Summers in place of Ms. perfect: Jean Grey.
And the other thing is Mystique, that horrible witch who made her life a living hell by lying to her to use her power for her own evil gain, wither is tricking her to think her real friends are trying to hurt her, or disguising as a normal British girl who became her best friend.
Now she's stuck in this world that's like a mirror to her own...except it's like it's...empty, so to speak. No mutants, no X-Men, no anything familiar she can hang onto...except for Kitty. She was thankful that her high upbeat roommate had her own apartment she can live in. But even with her close friend around, there are times Rogue likes to be alone, There's too much happy-Valley-girl...ness she can only muster, and she still needs to comprehend the situation she's in.
Rogue took a seat in front of the bar table, as her mood was like it weight so much.

Rachel had noticed the power coming in the room as she had gotten her book out to start reading it. She hadn’t gotten very far, but she put it away in her bag as well as her coat. The bar itself had been quiet with a handful of humans around. Rachel could sense their emotions, and one was a drunk half. Asleep on the table with a half cup of something. Cheap Alcohol. He wasn't much of a threat and probably wouldn't remember tonight. She wasn’t going to bother with him as he was drowning in his woes. The other set of people looked like a happy couple that was enjoying a small date. It made her slightly jealous as she knew that she missed Beast Boy and the other Titans that were gone. Rachel had only ever gotten to go on a few dates with Beast Boy. He was cute and kind. A Bubbly and silly personality that might've pushed her buttons more than once. Like going in her room, which was strictly off limits. She had missed his silly ways and turning into animals. Now she had nobody as she was on her own here except for Dr. Strange guiding through her magic.
Rachel had barely touched her food, and she did enjoy it. The cheese in it was something to be rather comforting, but her thoughts had been back on what Strange had been trying to tell her earlier. It was hard having a normal life and even trying to find ways to not panic or be upset at the same time. She had to have her emotions in control at all times. It was hard even acting normal in a big city with this. So many emotions. They were running around wildly, and it was hard to keep track of them all. It was overwhelming. She knew that hiding back in her room was the safest place to go. She was not in Azareth before.
That was when she saw the young woman. “Mind if I sit here? And penny for your troubles or thoughts?” She asked as she looked like she hadn’t touched much. “I’m only asking because I’m an empath. I can sense everyone’s emotions.” She said as she sat down. “My name is Rachel Roth by the way.” She said. Rachel was not sure if she should bring up the part of falling through a portal just yet. They perhaps might talk girl to girl or any troubles they might have.
